Delta Underwriting appoints new Accident & Health leader

The growth story for Delta Underwriting continues as it announces the appointment of seasoned Accident & Health executive Lisa Leow to its ranks. An established provider of niche solutions in cyber and technology, professional indemnity, management liability, and legal expenses insurance, Delta Underwriting is expanding into the Accident & Health space.

Company Managing Director Eugene Cheong says the enthusiastic reception for its products in Asian markets combined with a focus on continuous innovation has spurred this development. “Intermediaries and business partners appreciate the ease of doing business with us, and our consistent approach to service delivery and excellence,” he notes.

“Our team has steadily expanded over the past seven years since inception, and with Leow’s appointment, our intermediaries will soon have another quality Delta product enhancing their reach and ability to add value to end customers.”

With an insurance career spanning over 3 decades in Asia, Leow has held executive roles in Accident & Health and Commercial Lines with major insurers that includes AIG, Zurich, QBE and Starr. Leow is excited at joining Delta Underwriting as Asia Head of Accident & Health, where she will lead in the development of portfolio strategy and growth for A&H complementary to existing lines.

“Delta Underwriting has established itself as a serious player in APAC. Intermediaries and insured parties recognise Delta for its innovative approach, with policies designed to protect against new and emerging risks in a continually evolving world,” she says. “That’s a heritage I’ll build upon as we work together on creating a compelling value proposition with unique relevant differentiators in the A&H products.”

A Lloyds of London Coverholder, Delta Underwriting has won several MGA of the Year Awards, and holds an AM Best Performance Assessment of PA-2 (Excellent).

Leow’s appointment is effective from 1 August 2024.
